Ear weight powder instructions- Please ONLY use if needed
Sometimes as Australian shepherd puppies lack weight in ear leather, are maturing and going through what is frequently called the “teenage gangly stage” their ears may rise/prick. The rising of their ears is correlated with teething, or any time when calcium ion levels fluxuate within the tissue of the ears. Typically their ears always go down after teething, but to accelerate and confirm the drop of the ears, non-invasive techniques are typically used. I suggest/recommend using a easy and effective method using ear weight powder and non-invasive water adhesive. This product is fast and the adhesive material lasts for about 3 wks, reapply as needed until the ears set is back to normal. - Tungsten Powder (ear weight powder- 4oz) $14.50 - Speed Sew glue (adhesive) $7.25 Both products can be purchased through 3-C’s dog supply online www.3cdog.com
Instructions for use…. 1-Place a small amt. of Speed Sew glue to your pointer finger and place on the inside tip of the ear. Let stand for about 8 seconds... 2- Sprinkle Tungsten powder on the glue so that the glue becomes completely saturated. Please use the Tungsten powder liberally, the weight of the powder is what trains/ makes the ear fall. 3- Tap glue / newly applied Tungsten powder on dogs ear with your finger if you see any glue seep through apply more tungsten powder until completely covered. 4- keep ear flipped to allow the glue to set for about 20 seconds after application before letting dog free. You will only need to reapply glue/powder every 2/3 weeks or so.
